Akichan Ramen
あきちゃんラーメン
Overview
Opened in 2025 in Ono, Yamashina-ku, Kyoto, Aki-chan Ramen is the city's first specialty shop dedicated to "Chan-kei" ramen. "Chan-kei" is a new wave of ramen that has recently surged in popularity, primarily in the Kanto region. Aki-chan Ramen is an officially recognized member of the "Chan no Ren Kumiai" (Chan's Noren Association), an organization that includes renowned establishments like Kanda Chie-chan, Shinjuku Ecchan, and Ikebukuro Hiro-chan. Signature features include flat noodles from Shinjuku Daruma Seimen, a clear soy sauce broth generously filled to the brim of the bowl, and a plentiful serving of chashu. The main menu offers two choices: "Chuka Soba" (Chinese Soba) and "Mori Chuka" (Tsukemen / Dipping Noodles). Popular side dishes such as raw egg and Negi-don (rice bowl with green onions) are also available. Customers are required to purchase meal tickets from an outdoor vending machine (cashless payment is accepted) before entering. The shop is a mere 3-minute walk from Ono Station and boasts complimentary parking.
