Ikareta Noodle Fishtons
いかれたヌードル フィッシュトンズ
Overview
"Ikareta Noodle Fishtons" is a popular ramen shop located in Shimmachi, Nishi-ku, Osaka, just a 2-minute walk from Nishi-Ohashi Station. This accomplished establishment has been continuously selected for Tabelog's "Ramen Osaka Hyakumeiten" (Top 100 Ramen Shops in Osaka) since 2019. It has garnered strong support for its signature rich tsukemen (dipping noodles) and its "tsurumochi" (chewy and smooth) high-hydration noodles. The soup base primarily features a rich blend of pork bone (tonkotsu) and seafood. For tsukemen, they offer a robust dipping sauce blended with Tamari and Ise soy sauces, while ramen options include Hakata-style rich tonkotsu (pork bone) soup and various tori-paitan (creamy chicken broth) variations, among a diverse lineup that includes limited-time menus. The homemade thick, wavy noodles are specifically designed to perfectly entangle with the dipping sauce. They also put effort into their side dishes, offering items like kaedama (extra noodle serving) for Hakata ramen, takana gohan (rice with pickled mustard leaves), and Kinugasa-don (deep-fried tofu and green onion rice bowl), creating a menu designed to keep repeat customers coming back. Furthermore, they have a unique "asa-ra" (morning ramen) service on Saturdays from 7:00 to 9:00 AM, with special menus for this time slot announced on social media. With 14 seats (10 at the counter and two 2-person tables), and supporting all payment methods including credit cards, e-money, and QR code payments, this shop is a leading representative of tsukemen in Osaka's Shinsaibashi area.

1Before entering
2-minute walk (153m) from Exit 2 of Nishi-Ohashi Station on the Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line. 3-minute walk from Yotsubashi Station on the Yotsubashi Line, and also within walking distance from Shinsaibashi Station. A popular restaurant continuously selected as one of Tabelog's "Ramen Osaka Top 100 Restaurants" since 2019, with an outdoor wait of 8 people and 30 minutes even around 11:30 AM on a weekday near year-end. On Saturdays, "morning ramen" (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM) is also served before regular business hours; menus and business information are announced on social media calendars the day before or on the morning of.
2Purchasing meal tickets / Ordering
There is a ticket vending machine inside the restaurant, with photos but no English descriptions. Signature rich tsukemen, ramen, and seasonal limited-time menus are available. If there's no line, enter and use the ticket machine immediately. During crowded times, the timing for purchasing tickets (before or after joining the line) is unclear, so it's safest to observe the line and decide. Payments are accepted via cash, credit cards (VISA/Master/JCB/AMEX/Diners), QR code payments (PayPay/d払い/Rakuten Pay/au PAY), and all types of electronic money including transportation IC cards.
3Seating and receiving
Total of 14 seats: 10 counter seats and 2 tables for 2 people each. Staff will guide you to an empty seat and you hand over your meal ticket. The signature tsukemen may take a bit longer to be served; during crowded times, expect to wait about 5 to 15 minutes for your bowl.
4Other notes
For the signature rich tsukemen, the dipping sauce has a strong saltiness and seafood umami, so it's standard to dip the noodles a little at a time to savor them initially. If you ask for "soup wari" (soup dilution) at the end, the dipping sauce is diluted with dashi (seafood broth), transforming into a lighter, more drinkable consistency. Saturday morning ramen and limited-time menus are announced on social media the day before or on the morning of, so it's reliable to check in advance if you have a specific item in mind. They also offer a variety of side dishes such as Hakata-style ramen's kaedama (extra noodle), takana rice, and kinugasa-don.
