Kadoya Shokudo Crysta Nagahori
カドヤ食堂 クリスタ長堀店
Overview
The "Kadoya Shokudo Crysta Nagahori branch" is located on B1F of the "Crysta Nagahori" underground mall in Minamisenba, Osaka. This underground branch, an offshoot of the main shop above ground, leverages its excellent accessibility directly connected to Nagahoribashi Station, making it one of Osaka's top tsukesoba (dipping noodles) shops, consistently popular on weekdays (lunch and dinner) and weekends. The signature tsukesoba features glossy, beautifully presented medium-thick noodles with a subtle wheat aroma that grows in umami with every bite. Even the special large serving (tokumori, 1,800 yen) feels light, making it impossible to stop eating. The dipping broth (tsukejiru) is an addictive flavor, perfectly balancing animal-based umami, the sharpness of soy sauce, and a hint of acidity, often praised by repeat customers as "their unwavering #1." The shop also puts effort into its side dishes, offering a luxurious Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) made with carefully selected eggs, and meltingly tender stewed pork trotters (tonkotsu), all designed to be enjoyed alongside the tsukesoba. The classic way to finish is to enjoy the last drop of the dipping broth by diluting it with oyuwari (soup wari – soup dilution). Despite being a compact shop with only 28 counter seats, its location in an underground mall means it's unaffected by weather, and it supports various cashless payment methods, making it a convenient spot to drop by spontaneously.
How to Order
1Before entering
Located 114m from Osaka Metro "Nagahoribashi Station" on B1F of the underground shopping mall "Crysta Nagahori". This is a store within the underground mall, not the main store above ground, and has excellent access directly connected to Nagahoribashi Station. Open from 11:00 to 22:00 with continuous business hours. During lunch peak (12:00-13:30), there may be a wait outside, but it is relatively less crowded after 14:00 or in the early evening.
2Purchase meal ticket / Order
A ticket vending machine is installed inside the store. The menu features the signature Tsukemen, Tsukemen Special Large Serving (1,800 yen), popular classic ramen, side dishes such as tamago kake gohan (egg over rice), and melty pork trotters. Payments accepted include cash, QR code payment, and credit cards (VISA only); electronic money is not accepted. If there is no line or a short line, enter and operate the ticket vending machine immediately; if crowded, join the end of the line and decide.
3Seating and serving
The spacious interior has 28 counter seats only (no table seats). Staff will guide you to an empty seat, where you hand over your meal ticket. The signature Tsukemen and Tsukemen Special Large Serving take some time to prepare, so if you order the side pork trotters first, they will arrive sooner (you can enjoy the pork trotters first, then the Tsukemen).
4Other
The signature Tsukemen combines beautifully arranged glossy noodles with a dipping sauce that balances savory animal-based umami, the sharpness of soy sauce, and a hint of acidity. For the finish, ask for soup wari (soup diluted with broth) to enjoy the full flavor of the dipping sauce until the end. Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) is a luxurious dish made with carefully selected eggs, and many repeat customers combine it with Tsukemen.
