Kadoya Shokudo Hanshin Umeda
カドヤ食堂 阪神梅田店
Overview
This is a satellite branch of Osaka's renowned ramen shop 'Kadoya Shokudo,' located in the 'Snack Park' food court on the B1F of the Hanshin Umeda Main Store. While the main branch is a popular spot with guaranteed long queues, this store offers quick service in a standing-only style, allowing you to easily enjoy their Chuka Soba for an affordable 590 yen. The clear soup, based on chicken and pork, has a light soy sauce flavor, and when combined with thin straight noodles, creates a classic Chuka Soba. A menu with large photos is displayed at the front, and pointing to order is possible, making it reassuring for foreign travelers. There are only standing spaces and no seats, but baggage racks are provided. They also accept credit cards, e-money, and QR code payments. Operating continuously in line with Hanshin Department Store's business hours, this is an ideal spot for travelers in Umeda who want to experience Osaka's long-established ramen without spending a lot of time.
How to Order

1Before entering
A tenant in the standing-only food court called "Snack Park" on B1F of Hanshin Umeda Main Store, a 2-minute walk from Osaka Metro Higashi-Umeda Station. Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 (L.O. 21:30) with no regular holidays. As it's a food court, there are no private seats; it's a standing-only style at shared tables. On weekdays around 12 PM and Saturdays around 12:30 PM, there might be a queue of about 5 people outside, but due to it being standing-only, the turnover is very fast, and your turn comes in 5-10 minutes.
2Ordering and Payment
Queue at the entrance, and when your turn comes, select your menu item at the counter and pay. Signature dishes include "Chūka Soba" (590 yen - an exceptional price), "Wonton Noodles" (880 yen), "Ajitama Chūka Soba" (790 yen - with a flavored egg featuring the Hanshin Tigers mark), "Chāshū Men" (900 yen), and side dishes like "Chāshū Don" (350 yen) and "Butadon" (380 yen). After ordering and payment, move aside and wait for your food, then receive it directly at the counter (no pager). Payment is fully cashless, accepting cash, credit cards (VISA), e-money, and QR payments.
3Receiving and Dining
There are no private seats; it's standing-only at shared tables within the food court. Place your received bowl on a tray and move to an empty table. As tables can be hard to secure during busy times, some customers secure a spot before ordering. There's a luggage rack, but no chairs.
4Other notes
While the main branch (Nishi-Nagahori) is extremely popular with long operating hours and tickets selling out instantly, this branch is known as "Kadoya without queuing" and is frequented by many regulars. The noodles and soup are optimized for standing-only dining, featuring thin noodles different from the main branch's medium-thick, chewy noodles. Free noodle 麺大盛り (oomori, large size) service is available after 3 PM on Fridays (a hidden perk). A "Saku Nomi Set" (600 yen - beer + chāshū + menma + zha cai) is also offered from 3 PM.

中華そば
本店は3回伺ってるがこちらは初。
動物と魚介のバランス型なスープで、大阪ならではな甘めのカエシが効いたタイプ😁
麺はプツンと歯切れの良いストレートなもので、手軽にするすると食べられる😊
¥590でサクッと食べられるのはありがたい☺️ pic.twitter.com/su1s9jZJGh
