Kaettekita Miyata Menji
帰ってきた宮田麺児
Overview
Kaettekita Miyata Menji" is a popular ramen shop located in Higashi-Shinsaibashi, Osaka. With an excellent location just a 3-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station and a 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, it carves out a unique path specializing in tsukemen (dipping noodles) and vegetable potage-style ramen. Their signature dish, "Komugi no Daiginjou" (Great Sake of Wheat), is a distinctive tsukemen featuring unusually shaped flat, medium-thick noodles paired with a cloudy vegetable potage soup derived from vegetables and seafood. The thick umami of the vegetables beautifully coats the noodles, while tomatoes peeking from the soup provide a refreshing acidic accent, creating an original composition that sets it apart from typical tsukemen. You can also enjoy a flavor change (ajiben) by adding spicy meat miso as a topping. Similarly, their ramen also features a vegetable potage soup base, offering a gentle flavor with layers of natural sweetness from vegetables and savory umami from seafood. The ordering system uses tabletop tablets with photos and English support, making it easily accessible for international travelers. The spacious layout includes 20 seats (4 counter seats and 4 tables for four people each). It's a highly convenient establishment, accepting all major payment methods including credit cards, e-money, and QR code payments. The shop is well-regarded by customers in the Nagahoribashi and Shinsaibashi areas who seek "unique tsukemen".
How to Order
1Before Entering
3-minute walk (205m) from Nagahoribashi Station on the Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line, 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station on the Midosuji Line. Closed on Mondays (if Monday is a holiday, closed on the following Tuesday). Operating in two shifts: Tue-Fri 11:00-15:30 and 17:30-21:00, Sat/Sun/Holidays 11:00-15:00 and 17:30-21:00. Closes when soup or noodles run out, and temporary closures due to staff shortages may occur, so it's best to confirm business hours before visiting.
2Seating and Ordering
Staff will guide you to an empty seat, and you order from a tabletop tablet (with photos and English support). Signature dishes include Komugi no Daiginjō (Tsukemen), ramen with vegetable potage soup, and spicy minced meat miso as an additional topping. The tablet is designed for beginners (difficulty level 1) with photos and English, making it suitable for international travelers. Payment options include cash, QR code payments (PayPay/d払い/Rakuten Pay/au PAY), e-money (transportation IC cards/Rakuten Edy/nanaco/WAON/iD/QUICPay), and credit cards (VISA/Master/JCB/AMEX/Diners).
3Receiving Your Order
Total of 20 seats: 4 counter seats, 4 tables with 4 seats each. After ordering via tablet, staff will bring your order to your seat. Service is relatively quick, around 10 minutes for both tsukemen and ramen.
4Other Notes
The signature Komugi no Daiginjō (Tsukemen) features unique flat, medium-thick noodles paired with a cloudy vegetable potage soup made from vegetables and seafood. The thick vegetable umami coats the noodles well, and adding spicy minced meat miso allows for a change in flavor. Tomatoes may appear in the soup, adding a refreshing acidic accent. The meal is designed so you can drink the soup to the last drop, a perfectly balanced dish of noodles, soup, and toppings.

初訪。麺に力を入れているだけあって美味しかった!レモン汁とつけ汁の相性が凄い好みでした。
ちなみにすごく多く見えるけれども、麺の下に水切り網があってそんなに量はございません。特盛でも良かったな〜 pic.twitter.com/sMQNCoOdOL
