Kugatsudo
九月堂
Overview
"Kugatsudo," located in Shibuya, Tokyo, is a ramen shop offering shoyu ramen that is wholesome and gentle on the body, completely free of chemical seasonings. Their elegant soup, infused with the rich umami of dried sardines (niboshi), bonito flakes (katsuobushi), and chicken bones, can be chosen in either "light" (assari) or "rich" (kotteri) styles, and pairs perfectly with their thin, straight noodles containing whole wheat flour. A unique charm of Kugatsudo is its stylish, cafe-like ambiance where guests can also enjoy traditional Japanese sweets like parfaits, handcrafted by wagashi artisans. With touch-panel ticket vending machines that support QR code payments, it's easy to experience the sophisticated flavors cherished by locals.
How to Order
## Ordering Guide
1**Before Entry (If there's a Queue)**
If you have a reservation, please inform our staff. If there's a queue and you don't have a reservation, please join the line and wait for your turn.
2**Purchasing Tickets / Ordering**
Please observe other customers to determine whether to purchase meal tickets before or after entering the restaurant. At the ticket vending machine, choose your desired ramen, sweets, and side dishes. For ramen, you can choose between "light (あっさり)" and "rich (こってり)" flavors, and a large serving is free. Touch-panel vending machines accept cash or QR code payments. After purchasing your tickets, please remember to take them.
3**Seating & Receiving Your Order**
Our staff will guide you to a seat, or you may sit at an available seat and hand your meal tickets to the staff. Please wait a moment until your ordered items are served.
4**Other Notes**
If you ordered tsukemen (dipping noodles), you can request "soup wari" (broth to dilute the dipping soup) after you finish eating. Please inform our staff if you wish to do so.
