Magorinsha
孫鈴舎
Overview
Magorinsha Tokyo Station is a sister restaurant of "Rokurinsha" on Tokyo Ramen Street, located under the elevated tracks near the Hato Bus information center, about a 2-minute walk from Tokyo Station Marunouchi South Exit. From 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM, only "Asa Ramen" (morning ramen) is served, while tsukemen (dipping noodles) and ramen are offered from 10:30 AM onwards. The signature dish is a rich seafood pork bone soy sauce broth, characteristic of Rokurinsha; tsukemen uses chewy thick noodles, while ramen uses firm, extremely thin straight noodles, with noodle types changing depending on the menu. Asa Ramen is a refreshing yet rich bowl flavored with ginger and chopped green onions, offering great value with extra noodles (kaedama: extra noodles) for 100 yen, and a variety of side dishes such as chicken oil egg rice (torigoyu tamago kake gohan: chicken oil egg rice) and roasted pork rice (yakibuta meshi: roasted pork rice). Limited-time menus like Mala Tsukemen are also available. The appeal lies in being able to enjoy an authentic bowl right from the morning at Tokyo Station, all at a high cost performance.
How to Order

1Before Entering
About a 2-minute walk from Tokyo Station Marunouchi South Exit, under the elevated tracks on the inside of the Yamanote Line. "Asa Ramen" (morning ramen) is served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and tsukemen (dipping noodles) and ramen are served from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM. The interior is calm with a wood-grain design, and queues are uncommon, so you can often enter without waiting.
2Purchasing Meal Tickets & Ordering
Purchase a meal ticket from the touch-panel ticket machine on the left side of the entrance. Your order is sent to the kitchen immediately upon purchase, and you pick up your meal yourself when your number is called, similar to a food court system. Payments can be made with cash, credit cards, public transport e-money (like Suica), and QR code payments.
3Seating & Pickup
The layout mainly features I-shaped counters with ample space. Self-service water is available (from a water server), and paper aprons are provided. After eating, return your tray to the designated return area.
4Other Notes
Asa Ramen has a refreshing ginger flavor. Garlic (ninniku: garlic) can be added upon request. Extra noodles (kaedama: extra noodles) are 100 yen, and a variety of side dishes like chicken oil egg rice (torigoyu tamago kake gohan: chicken oil egg rice) and roasted pork rice (yakibuta meshi: roasted pork rice) are available. Adding garlic to tsukemen transforms it into a more invigorating (stamina-boosting) flavor.

pic.twitter.com/H2ahfx5UfO

Miso Mendokoro Tasakaya (Ikebukuro): Navigating the Japanese-Only Ticket Machine and a Review of its Robust Miso Ramen
Miso Mendokoro Tasakaya, a miso ramen specialist located in Nishi-Ikebukuro, is just about a 5-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station's West Exit. This shop is known for its hearty miso ramen: a thick, rich, slightly sweet miso broth, firm thick noodles, melt-in-your-mouth chashu, and a towering pile of crisp bean sprouts (moyashi) – a truly robust and voluminous bowl. The menu features four main series: Miso Ramen, Kara-Miso Ramen (spicy miso), Aemen (a brothless mixed noodle dish), and IWGP Geki-Kara Ramen (extra hot). This guide, based on our visit on Friday, May 22, 2026 (arrived at 6:39 PM with a 13-person queue), provides photos and tips for first-time visitors to Japan. We'll cover how to navigate the Japanese-only, no-photo ticket vending machine using a color guide, understand the queuing situation (only 9 counter seats and long noodle cooking times mean slower turnover), tips to avoid crowds, and the cash-only payment policy.
