Men no Youji
麺のようじ
Overview
Selected as one of Osaka's top 100 ramen shops, this is a renowned establishment specializing in chicken and salt-based broths. Their signature "Toribushi Kyoku Shio Ramen" features a refined soup made from whole Ise Akadori chickens and chicken bones from Mie Prefecture, with burdock root, apple, and ginger added to eliminate any gaminess, and a subtle hint of yuzu. It's praised for being light yet rich in flavor, allowing you to drink every last drop. Daikon radish sprouts and orange-colored arare (rice crackers) provide a beautiful visual accent. Their other signature dish, "Tori Doro Tsukemen," boasts a rich chicken paitan (white chicken broth) soup that boils vigorously in a stone pot, offering a potage-like thickness that stays piping hot until the very end. Free aprons are available only for tsukemen orders. Attractive limited-time menus, such as Lobster Dan Dan Mazesoba, are also offered. The ticket vending machine is located outside, supports English, and includes photos. Cash only. The owner's attentive customer service also has a dedicated following.
