Overview
Located in an alleyway of Doguyasuji Shopping Street, this is an oyster ramen specialty shop by a new brand from the Tori Soba Zagin group. Reversing the Kansai region's common notion of ramen shops being "bright and clean," it features a unique space design combining a dimly lit, stylish interior with projection mapping, making it suitable for dates without feeling out of place. The signature menu is a full course of three types of oyster ramen: the rich Paitan (white broth) style "Oyster Paitan (koeru)", the refreshing Chintan (clear broth) style "Oyster Chintan", and "Oyster Tsukemen" (dipping noodles). The soup is a triple blend of oyster paste, pork, and chicken, designed to balance the rich umami of the sea with the robust body of animal stock. With oyster meat as a topping, this specialty shop offers the full oyster experience from both the soup and the ingredients. After drinking about halfway, grind and add the sansho pepper from the table mill; its refreshing aroma will enhance the flavor profile, allowing you to enjoy every last drop without getting tired of it. The unique feature of chopsticks and ladles stored in seat drawers, dim lighting, and projection mapping — these details consciously break away from "ramen shop conventions," making them highlights of the establishment. Its operational policy of complete cashless payment (no cash accepted) is also a modern approach, clearly targeting a specific demographic. It also focuses on foreign language support, with ticket vending machines available in English, Chinese, and Korean, and the menu designed with images, making it visually easy to choose. As an oyster ramen spot in Namba where tourists can easily navigate on their own, it symbolizes the ramen experience of the SNS era. Even late arrivals close to closing time are welcome, making it a convenient option for a late-night ramen "shime" (ending a meal/night out).
How to Order
1Before entering
A specialty oyster ramen shop located in Doguyasuji Shopping Street, a 2-minute walk from Namba Station. It's a new brand from the Tori Soba Zaginy group, characterized by a stylish, dimly lit interior and projection mapping. They are open every day, from 10:30 to 23:00 on weekdays (Mon-Fri) and 10:00 to 23:00 on weekends and holidays, with continuous service, and even late arrivals just before closing are welcome. During peak hours, there might be a wait of a few groups to about 10 people outside, but turnover is quick, often allowing entry in about 7-10 minutes.
2Purchasing meal tickets / Ordering
It's a "pre-purchase" style where you buy meal tickets from the vending machine next to the entrance before lining up. The touch panel has images and supports English, Chinese, and Korean, offering excellent foreign language support. There are three main types of ramen: Oyster Paitan (koeru, a rich paitan style), Oyster Chintan, and Oyster Tsukemen. Oyster meat is also included as a topping. This is a completely cashless store; cash is not accepted. It accepts credit cards (VISA・Master・JCB・AMEX), transportation IC cards, and QR code payments (PayPay・Rakuten Pay).
3Seating and receiving
There are 14 seats in total: 6 counter seats and one large table (8 seats). Follow the staff's guidance to your seat and hand over your meal ticket. A unique feature is that chopsticks and a ramen spoon are stored in a drawer under the seat. Service is fast, and your order will be served in a few minutes.
4Other
The soup is a rich triple blend of oyster paste, pork, and chicken. After drinking about halfway, grind a little sansho pepper from the mill on the table and add it; its refreshing aroma will highlight the flavor even more. Sansho powder may also be provided in a separate dish, but it's safer to use a spoon or similar utensil as touching it with your fingers can stain them. The atmosphere is suitable for dates, and many couples visit.
