The signature Taro Ramen (880 yen) combines shellfish dashi shoyu (clam, hard clam, oyster, shijimi), whole wheat medium-thin noodles, and rare chashu. Enjoying the flavor change (ajien) with perilla oil mid-meal is also a delight.
Notes
Closed on Sundays and public holidays. Open until 1:30 AM, making it convenient for a late-night "shime ramen" after drinks in Kitashinchi.

1Before Entering

Located on the 1st floor of Dojima Grand Building, a 5-minute walk from JR Kitashinchi Station. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (L.O. 2:45 PM) and 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM the next day (L.O. 0:50 AM). Closed on Sundays and public holidays. With only 17 counter seats, it primarily caters to the "shime ramen" (closing ramen) demand after drinks in Kitashinchi, making its late-night operation (until 1:30 AM) convenient.

2Purchasing Meal Tickets / Ordering

Orders are placed via LINE mobile order by scanning the QR code on the counter with your smartphone. Signature items include Taro Ramen (880 yen, shellfish dashi shoyu), Taro Special (with added satsuma-age and soft-boiled egg), Hanako Ramen (bonito-flavored), Tantanmen (limited edition), and Aburi Chashu Don (seared chashu rice bowl). English menus are available, and many foreign customers use them. During lunchtime, large portions are free. All payment methods are accepted: cash, credit cards (VISA/Master/JCB/AMEX/Diners), transportation IC cards, iD, QUICPay, and PayPay.

3Seating / Receiving Your Order

There are only 17 counter seats, offering a calm and clean atmosphere like a high-end kappo restaurant. The service is polite, and the layout allows customers to watch the chefs work behind the counter. Your order will be served in 5 to 10 minutes.

4Other Notes

First, enjoy the soup as is. Then, halfway through, add the provided perilla oil to experience an "ajien" (flavor change), transforming the ramen into a dish closer to Japanese cuisine. The satsuma-age (in Taro Special) is infused with truffle oil, offering a unique flavor. The Aburi Chashu Don's seared aroma from the gas burner stimulates the appetite. There is also a service where you receive a Haagen-Dazs ice cream by answering a post-meal survey via QR code.
