The shop was also featured on the TV program "Matsumotoke no Kyujitsu." Guests purchase meal tickets from a vending machine near the entrance. 1Before entering
The shop is a house-style building located at a street corner, a 7-8 minute walk from Hankyu Nakatsu Station, 13 minutes from JR Osaka Station, and 2 minutes from Umeda Sky Building. It operates in two shifts (11:00-14:30 / 18:00-22:00). Irregular holidays. On weekdays during the 12 PM hour and on weekends, there's usually an outdoor wait of 3-5 people, but you can enter in about 15 minutes. Right after the evening session opens at 6 PM is a relatively easy time to enter.
2Purchase meal tickets and order
Purchase meal tickets at the ticket machine located immediately to the right after entering the entrance. The buttons have no photos or English display, only menu names (in Japanese). The menu is diverse, featuring the signature "Tonkotsu Gyokai Ramen" (1,000 yen - rich, additive-free soup), Special (1,350 yen), "Niboshi Shoyu Ramen" (1,000 yen), "Oyodo Black" (1,000 yen - rich soy sauce), "Tsukemen" (1,100 yen), and "Miso Ramen" (1,100 yen). The side dish "Phantom Half Fried Rice" (430 yen) is a popular item known for being featured on TV by Hitoshi Matsumoto. Payments accepted are cash, e-money, and PayPay QR code payment; credit cards are not accepted. If using PayPay, tell a staff member "PayPay de" (I'll pay with PayPay) before purchasing a meal ticket from the vending machine.
3Seating and receiving
There are 15 seats in total: 7 counter seats and 2 tables for four people. Hand over your meal ticket when staff guides you to your seat. During busy times, it takes about 10 minutes to serve. Tonkotsu Gyokai Ramen is characterized by the grainy texture of fish powder on the tongue, achieving a rich flavor despite being additive-free.
4Other
Black pepper is available on the table; a sprinkle in the latter half enhances the soup's sharpness. When eating Tonkotsu Gyokai Ramen, the standard order is to first take a sip of soup to enjoy the seafood aroma, then lift the noodles to coat them with the soup. The "Phantom Half Fried Rice" is a fluffy dish with generous chunks of chashu, and eating it alternately with ramen makes the soup feel less heavy. 替え玉 (kaedama, extra noodle) is also available.
