1Before entering the shop

This renowned restaurant operates on a complete reservation system, located at Honmachi 3-41-12, along Honan-dori, a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Shinjuku Gochome Station (although the address is Shibuya-ku Honmachi, access is primarily from the Shinjuku area). It typically operates only on weekdays, with occasional openings on holidays like Golden Week. The unique system includes a morning ramen slot starting at 8:45 AM. As it's entirely reservation-based, walk-ins on the day are not permitted; advance reservation is essential.

2Reservation and meal ticket purchase

Reservations are made using TableCheck, with bookings for the following day opening at 8:00 AM the day before. TableCheck supports 18 languages and does not require a Japanese phone number, making it an easy platform for international visitors to book. Slots often fill up immediately after release, but by persisting and refreshing the screen for a few minutes, spots may sometimes appear. A reservation fee of 390 yen is charged (for seating and cancellation prevention). Please arrive at the reserved time, purchase your meal ticket at the vending machine inside the entrance, and then proceed to your seat. Signature dishes include Special Soy Sauce Ramen (2000 yen), Special Shio Ramen (2050 yen), Special Grape Sansho Ramen (2250 yen), Special White Soy Sauce Ramen, Tsukemen (intermittently offered), and Aburi Chashu Gohan (Seared Pork Rice) (450 yen). Payment is cash only; credit cards, e-money, and QR code payments are not accepted (the ticket machine is cash-only).

3Seating and serving

The compact interior has only about 6 counter seats. The system serves two customers at each reserved time slot, so you may wait 5-15 minutes until your turn. Each order is carefully prepared one by one, and the owner's movements are precise and calm.

4Other

This acclaimed restaurant is among Japan's top-tier ramen establishments, having received THE TABELOG AWARD BRONZE, listed in Ramen Hyakumeiten 2025 (for the 5th time), and boasting a Tabelog score of 4.05. The soup is a clear broth that skillfully layers chicken and pork animal bases with katsuobushi and seafood flavors, achieving harmony between dashi (broth) and kaeshi (sauce). It features an authentic blend of Yuasa soy sauce, some uncooked and some cooked at varying temperatures. The Special White Soy Sauce Ramen is elegant yet flashy, infused with truffle oil. The signature Special Grape Sansho Ramen, a new creation launched in 2026, harmonizes the fruity, mellow stimulation of grape sansho with a white soy sauce base, offering a unique experience where a subtle numbing sensation and refreshing aroma spread through the mouth with each sip. The noodles are thin, straight, high-hydration, and supple, with the aroma of sansho rising with the steam. The char siu comprises multiple types (pork belly, pork shoulder loin, chicken thigh, etc.), ranging from low-temperature cooked to charcoal-grilled smoky varieties, allowing you to enjoy each cut's texture and flavor through careful preparation. The wontons come in two types, meat and shrimp, and the ajitama (seasoned egg) is perfectly cooked with a rich, flowing yolk. The side dish, Aburi Chashu Gohan (450 yen), is popular for its generous amount of roasted pork and fresh green onions, often enjoyed like hitsumabushi by pouring leftover ramen soup over it at the end. The owner, dressed in traditional Japanese attire, and the Japanese background music create a unique atmosphere, and despite being quiet, the service is polite and attentive.
