Ryukishin RIZE Osaka Namba
龍旗信RIZE 大阪なんば店
Overview
A renowned shio ramen specialty shop located within "Namba Komejirushi" in Namba CITY. As the Namba outpost of the Ryukishin brand, well-known to all ramen enthusiasts in Osaka, this rare establishment allows you to savor the perfected clear shio soup, a tradition from its original shop, with the added convenience of being close to the station. The star of the menu is our signature Chicken Shio Ramen. Its clear shio soup is painstakingly crafted from a dashi (broth) slowly extracted over time from duck, chicken, and various root vegetables, then combined with a homemade tare (sauce) featuring ingredients like mussels. Despite its transparent appearance, it boasts a profoundly layered flavor profile, where the richness of duck and chicken intertwines with the umami of mussels, yet it remains light enough to be enjoyed to the very last drop. A lemon slice topping serves as a "taste-changer" (ajio-hen, 味変); dissolving it mid-meal adds a refreshing citrus note, a clever touch that further elevates the perfection of the shio ramen. Our other signature dish, the "Tori Paitan DX Ramen," is a rich and creamy paitan (chicken broth) combined with the satisfying crunch of fried burdock. The contrast between the characteristic richness of the chicken paitan and the savory aroma created by the fried burdock is a unique feature of this shop. It's a popular menu item, with many regulars visiting specifically to compare it with the shio ramen. Particularly noteworthy is the permanent availability of vegan and gluten-free ramen. Crafted with rice noodles and a plant-based dashi, it offers a rare and valuable option for travelers with wheat allergies or those avoiding animal products. This establishes the shop's unique position in the Namba area as an accommodating choice for international visitors with dietary restrictions. The "Suji Mayo Gohan" (rice bowl with beef tendon and mayonnaise) is another specialty highly recommended by repeat customers—an addictive combination of spicy stewed beef tendon and mayonnaise. This shop allows you to assemble a truly satisfying meal when paired with your ramen.
How to Order
1Before Entering
This renowned salt ramen shop is located within Namba CITY's "Namba Komejirushi", a 4-minute walk from Nankai Namba Station South Exit. As a Namba branch of the Ryukishin brand, well-known among Osaka ramen enthusiasts, it carries on the tradition of the original store. Operating hours are Mon-Fri 11:30-16:00 / 18:00-00:00 (L.O. 23:30), and Sat-Sun-Holidays 11:30-00:00 (L.O. 23:30), with New Year's Day being the only regular holiday. During peak times, expect a wait of about 5-10 people outside. The entrance and exit paths are separate.
2Purchasing Meal Tickets / Ordering
Purchase meal tickets from the touch-panel vending machine located in front of the entrance. The touch panel features photos and supports English menus, making it easy to operate. Signature dishes include Chicken Shio Ramen (1100 yen), Chicken Paitan DX Ramen (1500 yen, with lemon slices and fried burdock), and the summer-limited Chilled Seafood Shio Ramen. Vegan and gluten-free ramen (made with rice noodles) are also permanently available. The side dish "Suji Mayo Gohan" (stewed beef tendon with mayonnaise on rice) is also popular among repeat customers. Payment is cash only; cards, e-money, and QR payment are not accepted.
3Seating and Receiving Your Order
The interior is compact, with only 11 counter seats. The staff will guide you to your seat, so sit down and hand them your meal ticket. Your order will be served in a few to 10 minutes. Due to long operating hours, peak crowd times are dispersed, allowing for a relatively calm dining experience even late at night.
4Other Notes
The core of the main store's offering is a clear-broth shio ramen, based on a broth meticulously extracted from duck, chicken, and various root vegetables over time, combined with a homemade tare (sauce) using ingredients like mussels. Dissolving a lemon slice into the soup adds a refreshing citrus note, effective for changing the flavor in the latter half of the meal. The vegan ramen, made with rice noodles and plant-based broth, is a rare option suitable for travelers with wheat allergies or those avoiding animal products.
