Seaburano Kami Slurp
セアブラノ神 slurp
Overview
Seaburano Kami slurp is the second brand of "Seaburano Kami," a popular fatty back pork ramen shop with multiple locations in Kyoto City. Located on Sanjo-dori, close to Karasuma Oike, this branch stands out within the group for its sophisticated, white-themed interior, reminiscent of a cafe, creating an atmosphere where even women can feel comfortable dining alone. While the main brand is known for its fatty back pork shoyu ramen, this particular shop distinguishes itself by focusing on chicken paitan (creamy chicken broth) and tsukemen (dipping noodles). One of its signature dishes, the "Special Iberico Pork Tsukemen," features smooth and chewy thin straight noodles paired with a rich animal-based dipping broth, with Iberico pork and large slices of chashu submerged in the broth, offering a satisfying meal. It's also a nice touch that you can increase the noodle portion from one to one and a half balls for the same price. You can enjoy the dish by first savoring the noodles on their own, then dipping them in the broth, and finally adding dashi (soup stock) for a soup-wari (broth extension), allowing you to experience various flavor changes. The creamy tonkotsu chicken paitan ramen is also popular, with diced red onions and yuzu peel adding a refreshing accent. The biggest draw of this shop, however, is its monthly limited-edition menu. With a wide range that includes sansho-flavored miso ramen, Jiro-style niboshi tonkotsu ramen, sour and spicy soup-style tsukemen, mala noodles, and keema curry mazesoba, you can discover a different dish every time you visit. You can even enjoy the aftertaste with a finishing rice (shime gohan) or cheese topping.
How to Order

1Before Entering
About a 3-minute walk from Karasuma Oike Subway Station, located along Sanjo-dori. Open only for lunch, and as it is a popular shop, there may be a wait of several groups outside around opening time or during peak lunch hours. It tends to be especially crowded on the first day of limited menu releases.
2Purchasing Meal Tickets
Purchase meal tickets from the vending machine near the entrance. In addition to the signature Iberico Pork Tsukemen and Chicken Paitan Ramen, there are monthly rotating limited-edition menus, so it's a good idea to check the current month's specials on the posters outside or inside the shop before making your selection. It's safe to have cash ready for payment. For tsukemen, 1 ball and 1.5 balls often cost the same, so decide on the portion size before purchasing.
3Seating and Receiving Your Order
There are counter seats and table seats. Hand over your meal ticket and wait at the seat you are guided to. Service is relatively quick. For tsukemen, instructions on how to eat it may be posted, guiding you to enjoy it plain first, then with the dipping broth, and finally with soup-wari.
4Other
If the dipping broth gets cold, you can add the dashi (for soup-wari) provided on the table to keep it warm until the end. For limited mazesoba dishes, finishing rice (shime gohan) or cheese toppings are also recommended. A popular way to enjoy the latter half of the meal is to squeeze lemon for a refreshing taste.

pic.twitter.com/IHb6EpxL49
