Ordering difficulty

Notes
Closed Sundays/holidays. Popular for late-night meals; cash only.

1Before entering the shop

A long-established shop founded in 1971, located in an alley behind Sennichimae, specializing in ramen with clear salt broth and gyoza. 3 minutes walk from Nippombashi Station, 8 minutes walk from Namba Station. Open from 6 PM to midnight, popular for a late-night meal after drinking. It's a small shop with only 11 counter seats, so there might be a queue of 2-3 people outside during peak hours. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

2Purchasing meal tickets / Ordering

Orders are placed verbally at the counter inside the shop while looking at the menu. The menu is only in Japanese, and English support should not be expected. The two main specialties are ramen (salt, clear broth) and gyoza; wonton ramen is also popular.

3Seating / Receiving your order

There are only 11 counter seats, so it's narrow enough that you might brush shoulders with the person next to you. Your order will be served within a few minutes after ordering. The turnover is quick, and locals tend to eat quickly and leave.

4Other notes

It features a simple composition: clear chicken broth-based salt soup, chewy thin Chinese noodles, bean sprouts, green onions, and chashu. Adding pepper from the table in the latter half of your meal is a good match to tighten the flavor. The gyoza are handmade from the skin, small with a chewy wrapper, and pair well with beer. This shop has been loved by locals for over 50 years as a late-night ramen spot.
