Notes
Business hours vary by day (weekdays until 11 PM / Fri-Sun until 4 AM), closed Tuesdays, and contains garlic, so be mindful if you have plans afterward.

1Before entering

A 2-minute walk from Shinsaibashi or Nagahoribashi Stations, located on B1F of the Daiichi KS Building in Higashi-Shinsaibashi. The store is at the bottom of a dimly lit staircase, but the large signboard makes the underground entrance easy to find. There are no numbered tickets or reservations; during busy times, please line up outside the store (at the top of the stairs). While it's often possible to enter without a wait during weekday lunch/dinner and Sunday lunch, late-night hours (especially Friday-Sunday, open until 4 AM the next morning) are bustling with customers seeking a late-night ramen fix.

2How to order

There is no ticket machine; staff will guide you to a seat, and you order verbally from the menu at your table or counter seat. The main dish is one type of Mapo Tofu Ramen, available in three forms: "with soup," "soup-less," or "mixed noodles." In addition to the signature Mapo Tofu Ramen (from 1,150 yen), Mala Mapo Noodles (1,350 yen), and Aburi Cheese Mapo Tofu Ramen Set (1,650 yen; during lunch, extra noodles and white rice are free), there are toppings such as extra spiciness/numbness (strongest "Jigoku" +400 yen), garlic (+100 yen), bok choy, egg yolk, cilantro, and cheese. Popular closing dishes (shime) include Sababushi Oimeshi (rice with bonito flakes, 250 yen) and Mayaku Tamago Oimeshi (addictive egg rice). Noodle portions are a single size, but can be changed to "less" (sukuname) for the same price. Payment is accepted via cash, credit card, e-money, and QR payment.

3Seating and receiving

There are 8 counter seats (with ample space between seats) and multiple table seats in the front and back, totaling 26 seats. Staff will guide you to an empty seat, and you place your order at the assigned seat. Food is served in about 5-10 minutes. If you choose "Aburi Cheese," the cheese will be torched right in front of you during serving, adding a visual flair.

4Other notes

Seasonings for altering the flavor are available on the table; it's common to change the flavor of soup-less ramen with vinegar in the latter half. The method of diving Oimeshi (Sababushi rice or Mayaku Tamago rice) into the leftover Mapo Tofu sauce is popular for finishing the meal. Takeout is also available for an additional 150 yen (packaging fee). Business hours vary by day (weekdays until 11 PM / Fri-Sun until 4 AM the next morning / some holidays and days before holidays have a midday break), so it's safe to check the latest business hours when visiting late at night. Garlic is used, so consider this if you have plans after your meal.
