Tori Pota Ramen THANK
鶏ポタ ラーメン THANK
Overview
Chicken Potage Ramen THANK (Thank) is the first main store of "Chicken Potage" which was born in Daimon in 2012. Chicken potage is a potage-like soup made by slowly simmering chicken and vegetables, characterized by its reliance solely on the natural flavors of the ingredients without chemical seasonings. Currently, there are 4 branches in total: 3 in Tokyo and 1 in Kamakura. For the signature Chicken Potage Ramen, you can choose the soup's richness from three levels: "poteri" (thick), "torori" (medium), and "sarari" (light). While creamy and packed with chicken umami, the sweetness of the vegetables gives it a surprisingly refreshing aftertaste, allowing you to drink it without feeling heavy. It comes with thin straight whole-wheat noodles that absorb the soup well, fragrant seared chicken chashu, menma bamboo shoots, and a seasoned egg. The shop recommends finishing your meal by adding rice and cheese to the remaining soup for a risotto-style finish. You can also enjoy flavor changes with the special curry spice and salt tare available on the table. They also offer tsukemen (dipping noodles) based on chicken potage and seasonal limited-time menus. With bright customer service and a touch-panel ticket vending machine that supports photos and foreign languages, it's a convenient place for international visitors.
How to Order
(Check the official account below in advance for irregular closures and updates)
Official SNS:https://x.com/ramenTHANK
1Before Entering
It's a 3-minute walk from Daimon Station A3/A6 Exits on the Toei Asakusa Line/Oedo Line, and a 7-minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station North Exit. It's located on a narrow street between a gyudon restaurant and a drug store, just before the Daimon intersection. Opening hours are weekdays for lunch and dinner (11:00-15:00 / 18:00-22:00) and weekends/holidays from 11:00-16:00. During lunchtime, it tends to get full after 11:30, but the turnover is fast, so you usually don't have to wait long.
2Purchasing Meal Tickets & Ordering
Purchase meal tickets from the touch-panel vending machine near the entrance. It's easy to choose as it supports food photos and foreign language displays. For Chicken Potage Ramen, choose the soup's richness from three levels: "poteri" (koime: rich), "torori" (medium), and "sarari" (assari: light). Purchase cheese rice for the finish, tsukemen, and toppings at this time. Payments are accepted in cash, electronic money, and QR code payments (PayPay); credit cards are not accepted.
3Seating & Receiving Your Order
There are 10 counter seats and 4 tables for two people. If orders are not busy, service is quick, taking about 5 minutes. Paper aprons are available, which are good to use if you're concerned about the rich soup.
4Other
Special curry spice and salt tare are available on the table, allowing you to enjoy a change of flavor mid-meal. The curry spice has a strong aroma, so it's best to try a small amount first. Adding rice and cheese to the soup after finishing your noodles creates a risotto-style finish.
