Tsukemen Kirari
つけ麺 きらり
Overview
A renowned restaurant for rich seafood-pork bone tsukemen, located in Kyoto's Fushimi Ward, just a 2-minute walk from Chushojima Station on the Keihan Main Line. They are open for lunch only on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Early arrival is recommended as they close once the soup runs out. Temporary closures and other updates are posted regularly on their official X (formerly Twitter) account '@tsukemenkirari', so checking before your visit is advised for peace of mind. This highly-rated establishment, also selected as one of Tabelog's Top 100 Restaurants, is famous for its chewy, extra-thick homemade noodles and a thick, highly viscous dipping sauce where seafood and pork bone are deeply and harmoniously blended. Even the regular size offers a substantial portion of approximately 470g of noodles, a satisfying amount even for men. Toppings include extra-thick menma, half a soft-boiled seasoned egg, and nori. The dipping sauce contains diced chashu and onions. You can enjoy changing the flavor with chili vinegar, garlic vinegar, and sudachi vinegar available on the table. Additionally, microwave ovens are provided near each seat to reheat your dipping sauce. Besides the signature seafood-pork bone tsukemen, they offer a rich variety including spicy tsukemen, curry tsukemen, and limited-time shrimp tsukemen. Payment is cash only.
