1Before Entering

About a 10-minute walk from JR Yamashina Station, in front of Kyoto Pharmaceutical University. Approximately 9 minutes walk from Keihan Yamashina Station. There is no dedicated parking lot, but there are metered parking spaces and bicycle parking in front of the shop. It is a small shop with only 7 counter seats and a few table seats, so it can be full during peak lunch and dinner hours, and you might have to wait outside. Closed on Wednesdays, operating in two shifts: lunch and dinner.

2Purchasing Meal Tickets

Orders are placed by purchasing meal tickets from a vending machine at the entrance. The vending machine displays photos of the menu, making it easy to choose from their signature Rich Seafood Burnt Tsukemen, Refreshing Tsukemen, or Seafood Tantan Tsukemen. You also select the noodle portion size (regular, large, extra-large, etc.) here. It is common to order the side dish, Aburi Butter Chashu Don, along with your tsukemen. Payment is cash only; cards, e-money, and QR code payments are not accepted, so be sure to have cash ready.

3Seating and Receiving Your Order

Hand over your meal tickets and wait at the assigned seat. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes for the food to be served. The dipping sauce (soup) may arrive first, followed by the noodles. You can self-pour jasmine tea from the pitcher for water.

4Other

The dipping sauce is best when hot, so it is recommended to ask for it to be reheated after eating about 40% of the noodles. For the chashu don, it's best to mix it thoroughly with a spoon before eating. After finishing your meal, you can enjoy soup-wari, diluting the remaining soup with hot broth from the pot on the table to savor it to the end.
