Kaidashimen Kitada
貝だし麺 きた田
Overview
Cashless payment is accepted (VISA/Master/JCB, e-money, PayPay, d払い). The touch panel ticket vending machine offers English support. Located within walking distance from Kyoto Station, the shop operates from 7 AM to 12 AM (midnight), making morning ramen an option. The signature "Kaidashi-men" features a creamy paitan soup based on clam, asari (short-necked clam), and scallop, offering a bowl concentrated with the rich umami of shellfish. For the "Hamaguri Ramen," you can choose between salt and soy sauce broth. A popular way to finish your meal is to pour the ramen soup over the "Shellfish Shigure-ni Rice" to enjoy it like zosui (Japanese rice porridge). Yuzu kosho (citrus pepper paste) is available to enhance the flavor. As a popular shop near Kyoto Station, it can sometimes have queues of over 20 people during lunchtime. The best times to visit are around 7 AM or after 3 PM. Table seating is available. The shop has been selected as one of Tabelog's "Hyakumeiten" (Top 100 Restaurants).
